Advertising directory

KnowAGuyNJ is a paid advertising directory. It is not a contractor, referral service, broker, review platform, employment agency or guarantor of work. Placement order reflects purchased advertising position, not a rating or endorsement.

Eligibility and credentials

Advertisers must maintain every license, registration, permit, insurance policy or other credential required for the advertised service. By purchasing a listing, the advertiser certifies that its submitted credential information is current and accurate. KnowAGuyNJ may verify credentials and may suspend or remove a listing that appears inaccurate, expired or legally noncompliant.

What a purchase covers

Each purchase covers one numbered advertising position, one service category and one municipality for one annual term. A placement cannot be moved to a different municipality, service or position during that term. Additional territory or services require additional purchases.

Ad materials

The advertiser supplies the finished JPG advertisement, telephone number and website URL. The advertiser is responsible for the legality and accuracy of its ad. KnowAGuyNJ may reject material that is unlawful, deceptive, malicious or technically unsafe. There is no self-service editing during the term; obvious technical corrections may be handled at KnowAGuyNJ's discretion.

Automatic renewal

Paid placements renew annually unless renewal is cancelled before the renewal charge. KnowAGuyNJ intends to send a reminder approximately 30 days before renewal. A failed renewal receives a notice, one follow-up and a seven-day grace period. If payment remains unpaid after the grace period, the placement may be removed and offered to another business.

Cancellations and refunds

Cancellation stops future renewal; it does not shorten the current paid term. Once a placement has been accepted and published, sales are final and fees are not prorated or refunded merely because the advertiser changes its mind, receives fewer calls than expected, closes, relocates or no longer wants the placement. If KnowAGuyNJ cannot publish a paid placement because of KnowAGuyNJ's own error, a duplicate sale, or a legal/compliance issue identified before publication, KnowAGuyNJ may void or refund the affected transaction.

No traffic or revenue guarantee

KnowAGuyNJ does not guarantee impressions, clicks, calls, jobs, revenue, search rankings or return on investment.

Homeowner responsibility

Homeowners are responsible for independently evaluating any business before hiring it, including checking current licensing/registration, insurance, references, scope, pricing and contracts.
